ICM has supported the Gumball 3000 Rally, the Supercar Owners Circle, the White Nights Rally and feature productions with Autofilm, TLO, Endemol, Netflix, ITV, BBC, Warner Brothers and Sky. Alongside this public-programme work, ICM moves private client shipments to Monaco, the Riviera, Marbella, Mallorca, the Italian coast and the United States.

Public programmes are named. Private client and vehicle details are anonymised, consistent with the ICM discretion policy.

Named events, rallies and productions

Programmes where ICM involvement is on the public record. Vehicle owners and production partners are not named here unless they have themselves made the relationship public.

Rally logistics

Gumball 3000 Rally

ICM has provided logistics support for the Gumball 3000 Rally across multiple editions, moving participant supercars between rally start lines, overnight stops and finish-line cities across Europe and beyond. The work involves staged collection from owners' addresses ahead of the rally, customs paperwork lodged in advance for each border crossing on the route, and recovery transport on standby for any car that needs to leave the rally early. Every vehicle is moved on enclosed haulage between event points; open transport is not used at any stage.

Supercar event

Supercar Owners Circle, Croatia

ICM handled vehicle logistics for the Supercar Owners Circle event in Croatia, moving hypercars and limited-production supercars from owners' UK and European bases to the event venue and back. The vehicles included models that are rare enough that a single incident in transit would be uninsurable in the open market. Each car travelled on a single-vehicle enclosed transporter with air-ride suspension, soft webbing straps over the wheels and climate control. Customs were pre-cleared for the Croatian border so the transporters were not held at entry.

Production company partnerships

ICM has provided vehicle logistics for productions with Autofilm, TLO, Endemol, Netflix, ITV, BBC, Warner Brothers and Sky. The work covers picture cars on enclosed transporters, period vehicles for drama, multi-vehicle fleets for action sequences and discreet transport of cast or sponsor cars where the production schedule requires confidentiality. A mutual non-disclosure agreement is signed before any communication with the production team, and return logistics are booked at the point of outbound dispatch so the unit production manager has one point of contact for both legs.

Classic rally

White Nights Rally, Scandinavia

ICM has supported the White Nights Rally through Scandinavia, moving classic rally cars from UK and European start points to the Nordic route and back. The vehicles are typically pre-1980 competition or road-rally machines, valuable enough that owners do not want to drive them to the start. Enclosed haulage is used in both directions, with cars secured on soft webbing straps over the wheels to keep the load off the original suspension geometry. Customs were cleared at each Nordic border on the rally route, with paperwork lodged before the transporters reached the crossing.

Seven anonymised projects that show the range

Each is a composite, accurate as to scope, route and method, with identifying detail removed. Together they cover the services and destinations that account for most private client work.

Multi-vehicle migration

Summer migration to the Côte d'Azur

A multi-vehicle move from a Cotswolds estate to a residence on Cap Ferrat. Three vehicles travelled together: a contemporary GT, a 1970s Italian classic and a daily-driver SUV. A single enclosed transporter was specified so the collection was loaded under cover at the UK address and unloaded under cover at the French address, with no intermediate handling. Routing was Eurotunnel from Folkestone, then south through Reims, Lyon and Aix-en-Provence to the Côte d'Azur. The classic was loaded last and discharged first to keep handling to a minimum. Customs were cleared on the client's behalf through the French customs authority at the first point of entry, with the import declaration lodged before the transporter reached Provence. Arrival was coordinated for a Friday afternoon so that the household was in residence to receive the cars.

Concours preparation

Pebble Beach Concours preparation

A 1960s British classic shipped from a UK collector to the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance grounds via West Coast container service. The vehicle travelled in a climate-controlled enclosed container, with soft webbing straps over the wheels rather than chassis tie-downs, to protect the original suspension geometry, and a photographic record made at every milestone: UK loading, port of departure, arrival at Long Beach, customs release and onward enclosed haulage up the Pacific Coast. EPA and DOT 25-year exemption documentation was prepared and lodged in advance, so the car cleared US customs without inspection delays. Delivery was timed for the eve of the event, allowing detailing on the lawn the following morning and presentation in concours condition.

Factory service round trip

Factory service round trip to Maranello

A UK-registered Ferrari 458 Italia shipped to Maranello for Ferrari Classiche certification work, then returned to the UK three months later. Enclosed single-vehicle haulage was used in both directions to protect the paint over the long European road segment. The outbound leg was routed via Eurotunnel and the Mont Blanc tunnel; the return leg used the same corridor in reverse. EU customs paperwork was handled under temporary admission for the outbound journey, so no duty was paid, with a defined re-export window. A UK return import declaration was lodged on the inbound journey. The client's only involvement was specifying the collection and delivery windows.

Race weekend

Monaco Grand Prix weekend

A single-vehicle supercar move on an enclosed transporter, UK to Monaco, timed to arrive 48 hours before practice. Routing was Eurotunnel and then south, with the transporter held overnight at a secure yard near Aix-en-Provence to control the arrival window into the Principality. Discreet drop-off was arranged at a private residence in Larvotto, working around the road closures that come into force around the circuit in race week. The customs formality was handled under temporary admission, with a defined re-export date matching the booked return shipment the following week. No public photography of the vehicle, the transporter or the address was permitted.

Estate consolidation

Estate consolidation, Marbella to UK

A three-vehicle collection moved from a Sotogrande residence to a UK climate-controlled storage facility. The combination chosen was a sea ferry from Bilbao to Portsmouth, avoiding a long French road leg in summer heat, followed by UK enclosed road haulage to the storage facility. Spanish customs export was handled end-to-end, and UK import declarations were lodged ahead of the ferry arrival so the vehicles cleared at the port and continued without overnight hold. On arrival at the storage facility, each vehicle was placed on a battery conditioner, tyres were inflated to long-term storage pressures and a condition report was filed alongside the pre-shipment record.

Auction logistics

Auction logistics, Monaco sale

Pre-sale transport of a 1980s collector car from a UK consignor to a Monaco auction venue. The car was delivered to the auction house's reception window for cataloguing and lot preparation, with the pre-shipment photographic record made available to the auction house's catalogue team. Post-sale, the vehicle was re-routed directly to the buyer's residence in Switzerland, a non-EU destination, requiring a TIR carnet for the road movement out of the EU customs territory and a Swiss import declaration on arrival. The handover at the buyer's residence included the full document pack and the original UK V5C, transferred under separate cover.

Long-term storage

Long-term resident abroad

A UK supercar held in the ICM climate-controlled UK storage facility while the owner divides time between London and Mallorca. The car sits on a battery conditioner with tyres rotated quarterly to prevent flat-spotting and fluids checked on the same cadence. The client requests 48-hour retrieval ahead of any visit, at which point the vehicle is prepared, valeted and either delivered to a London residence on a single-vehicle enclosed transporter or held at the facility for collection by the owner. The arrangement removes the need for a UK garage and avoids the cost and complexity of permanently importing the car into Spain.

What the projects have in common

The projects above vary in route, destination and duration, but five things are consistent across every shipment ICM moves. They are the standard, not an upgrade.

The services that sit behind this work, including enclosed car transport, classic car transport and multi-vehicle transport, are listed on the services hub, with destination-specific notes on the Monaco and USA pages.
