Car shipping to Monaco

The faster option uses the Eurotunnel from Folkestone, with onward enclosed haulage through France to Monaco — closer to 36 to 48 hours on the road. The alternative is a sea crossing from Southampton or Felixstowe to Marseille, then a short onward run east. Sea transit is slower but suits clients shipping multiple vehicles or moving alongside a household consignment. Final timing depends on collection date, weather and any specialist requirements at the Monégasque end.

Yes. We lodge the import declaration with the French customs authority on your behalf and instruct a Monégasque broker for the onward formality. You do not handle a T1 document, you do not stand at a port, and you do not chase a clearance reference. We supply the V5C, the bill of lading, the commercial invoice or valuation, and your residence or visiting documents to the broker, who returns a cleared release for the transporter. The cost of clearance is itemised in your quote.

Yes. Collection is door-to-door from anywhere in mainland England, Scotland and Wales — most commonly a private residence, a private garage, a dealership or a storage facility. The transporter arrives at an agreed window, the driver completes a pre-shipment inspection with a photographic record and a fuel-level check, and the vehicle is loaded into the enclosed trailer in your presence where possible. Northern Ireland and the islands are quoted on request.

Yes. Vehicles are fully insured in transit, underwritten through specialist marine and motor insurers familiar with high-value haulage. The cover limit is confirmed on your quote, and is set higher on request for the marques we ship to Monaco — Pagani, Koenigsegg, classic Ferraris and the like. We share the policy schedule before collection so you can verify the limits against a recent valuation. Cover runs from the moment the vehicle is loaded onto our transporter to the moment of hand-over at the address you nominate.

Delivery is to the address of your choice in the Principality — a private garage, a hotel forecourt, a residential parking bay or a Larvotto apartment block. We deliver across Monte-Carlo, La Condamine, Fontvieille and Monaco-Ville, including underground car parks and secure building access points. Vehicles are delivered to your door, never collected from a port. The transporter co-ordinates an arrival window with you or your representative, completes a hand-over inspection mirroring the UK collection record and provides a copy of the customs release. Where Monégasque vehicle access is restricted in the Carré d'Or or around the Grand Prix circuit, we arrange the appropriate permits in advance.

Ideally yes, so you or a nominated representative can sign off the hand-over inspection. If that is not practical, we arrange the hand-over with a concierge, building manager, dealer principal or other nominated third party. Confirm the contact at the time of booking and we brief them ahead of the arrival window.

Yes. We run the route in both directions under the same enclosed service, with the customs work mirrored — French export, UK import, VAT and duty handled as required by your status. Common requests include collecting after the summer season, retrieving cars after the Grand Prix or Monaco Yacht Show, and full relocations back to the UK. The pricing structure is the same as for the outbound run.
