What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit, such as your preferences or actions. The quote form uses session storage to retain your progress in the current browser tab.

The cookies we use

We ask before loading Google Ads measurement. If you decline, the Google tag does not load and the forms still work. We do not run browser analytics or personalised advertising.

Strictly necessary

The quote form stores the details you enter in session storage under icm-quote-wizard so you can move between steps without losing your progress. The saved form is cleared after successful submission. Closing the browser tab ends that session.

Advertising measurement

With your consent, Google Ads uses advertising measurement cookies, including _gcl_ cookies, to connect ad visits with successful quote enquiries. These cookies typically last up to 90 days. Google receives technical information such as your IP address, browser, page URL and ad-click identifiers, plus an enquiry reference when a quote is submitted. We do not send the form fields to Google.

We do record a small number of events on our own server, using PostHog (hosted in the European Union), and only when you actively submit one of our forms. That happens server-side, it sets no cookies and uses no browser storage. These server-side events are separate from the optional Google Ads measurement. Our privacy policy sets out what those events contain, including the one case where your own details are recorded.

Why we use them

Google Ads measurement helps us understand which adverts lead to enquiries. We do not use it for retargeting. Server-side form events separately help us monitor submissions and notification failures.

Managing browser storage

Your advertising choice is stored in local storage under icm-ads-consent-v1. You can withdraw consent below; the page reloads if the Google tag was active. This removes accessible first-party Google Ads cookies, but cookies on Google domains must be managed through your browser. Your quote form progress is kept.

You can change your choice here at any time.

Withdrawing consent stops Google Ads measurement and removes its accessible first-party cookies. Your quote form progress is kept.

You can also control cookies directly in your browser settings. Each major browser provides guidance:

Third-party cookies

We use Resend to send transactional emails. Resend does not set cookies on this website.

Google Ads measurement loads only with your consent, as described above. We do not run social pixels or retargeting cookies. We do not embed videos, maps or other third-party widgets that would set cookies without your consent.
